Safe Cleaning Solutions

There are many reasons for using safe, biodegradeable, professional grade cleaning agents that are safe for your home's paint, glass and landscaping. All of these surfaces need to be cleaned a little differently. Using the wrong cleaners can remove or strip the powder coating on your gutters and pool cage frame. The wrong cleaning agents can deteriorate rubber seals of your windows and doors or even dull or cause permanent streaks on your paint and glass.

Many surfaces and stains require different cleaning agents and techniques that often don't even involve pressure cleaning or soft washing. Harsh cleaning agents like degreasers or TSP (trisodium phosphate) should NEVER be used on your home because they aren't designed for cleaning homes. They are designed for removing contaminants and preparing surfaces for painting which means they can ruin your home's expensive paint job.

Price

An exterior cleaning is generally about 20% the cost of painting. After a cleaning from Scrubbing Bubbles, many of our customers claim their homes look as good as the day they were painted. Usually, when I give an estimate, customers are pleasantly surprised at our prices. So much so that they often pause for a minute and ask if I can add something else to the list. I have no problem with that at all because I never understood cleaning one thing but leaving something else dirty and moldy, close by or right next to it.

My goal is to do such a good job that you never want to use or call anyone else again. This lowers my costs in a couple of ways. First, as a repeat customer I know how much time your job takes, so unless you need something new, I don't have to drive over there to give you an estimate. This saves both of us time. Second, I don't have to advertise for repeat customers. This reduction in advertising costs saves me money and if you're a fan of trickle down economics, then you know where this is going. LOL.

Insurance

Ah, insurance. My favorite subject! Always make sure you hire someone that is fully insured. I carry a $1,000,000 policy because I believe it is just good business practice to protect my customers as well as myself. Now, some people might not give it a second thought or even care if the person they hire is insured as long as they are getting a low price. But that low price won't seem like such a good deal if that person is injured or causes damage to your property.

Don't be afraid to ask them if they are insured. When you hire someone, you want them to have a general liability insurance policy with a minimum of $300,000 per incident. This way, you'll be protected against claims of bodily injury, third party property damage as well as any associated defense costs and medical expenses. Not giving any legal advice, just sayin'.

Jim, the owner/operator, did an excellent job of cleaning what I contracted him for, plus he spot cleaned the house. I have much to thank Jim for. He went above and beyond the call of duty. While cleaning the cage, he noticed my pool was sucking water and making noises. He saw the water level had dropped considerably. First thing he did was clean out the filter basket thinking that was the cause. He then went to check the pump and found a broken pipe which was gushing water. Jim had the presence of mind to turn the pump off. That action alone saved me 100's of dollars in burnt out pump repairs (I was not home during any of this). Shortly after I arrived home, Jim came back to explain about the pool and to REPAIR THE PIPE! I could not believe he would do that. Excellent work done. The roof is spotless (it's white) and looks brand new. We had it cleaned four years ago, but the nearby live oaks are messy. The lanai cage and screening has not looked this good since we had the screening installed seven years ago. It seems the live oak pollen sat on the flat cage roof and kept the sun out. The cage itself is unpainted aluminum and now it shines. The sidewalk and drive look great. I can't say enough about the outcome. I would definitely use Scrubbing Bubbles again.
